2012 April Pallete School: Western Carolina University Field of study: Is a Masters degree candidate at Western Carolina University in North Carolina. She will study seed dispersal and germination ecology of Swamp Pink (Helonias bullata) by examining whether seed traits that suggest water dispersal convey buoyancy properties in water, and if a wetted period improves germination compared to seed that is not immersed or floated. Project location: USA |
