2012 Amanda L. Meder School: University of Nebraska Field of study: A 2008 graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a BS in Environmental Studies, is pursuing a Masters in Horticulture. She is studying sustainable landscape horticulture through the study of native plants in storm water best management practices and greywater irrigation settings. |

2012 Elizabeth Denise Riley School: North Carolina State University Field of study: A summa cum laude graduate of North Carolina State University in 2009, earned a Master of Science degree in 2011, and is now a Ph.D. candidate in Horticultural Science at NC State. She intends to teach at a university or community college level in a horticulture- based program. |

Her goal is to be a program or educational director at an arboretum or botanic garden or a garden manager of an historic site. |
